Model Service Society (MSS) is a non-profit service organization working for the betterment and development of individuals, families and communities in the UAE.

Founded: 1996, Dubai. Now in our 30th year
Licensed by: Community Development Authority, Government of Dubai
People: 1,011 registered volunteers and no paid staff
Standards: ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, and full IFRS audited accounts

What MSS stands for

A bridge between those who have and those who do not.
A helping hand for those in need.
Free from any profit motive, and from regional, political or similar considerations.

Activities are funded through donations from members, well-wishers and companies, through fundraising appeals and through legacies. Accounts follow full IFRS reporting from FY2025 with an unmodified audit opinion, and MSS is a Qualifying Public Benefit Entity, exempt from Corporate Tax.

Our mission

To serve the community in the UAE through sustained welfare, empowerment and volunteerism. We do this by supporting workers in need, nurturing the talents and confidence of young people, empowering women and families, and bringing together people of every nationality to give back to the country we call home.

How MSS is governed

Every member has a voice. Decisions move from the General Body to the people who run MSS day to day. A written Governance Framework, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy guide the work, and every 2026 Board decision is minuted with a named owner and deadline.

Chairman's message

Serving humanity without boundaries

It is with deep humility and a profound sense of purpose that I extend my heartfelt greetings to all visitors of the Model Service Society website.

Having been a part of MSS since 1999, I have witnessed this organization grow into the leading humanitarian and social service society in the UAE, operating under the governance and license of the Community Development Authority (CDA), Government of Dubai.

MSS is proudly and independently rooted in Dubai, driven by our values of compassion, education, volunteerism and inclusive community service. With a growing family of active volunteers, we continue to respond to the needs of the community with empathy, commitment and purpose.

From supporting labourers and organizing health initiatives to empowering youth and families through education and awareness, every project reflects our passion to make a meaningful difference. In alignment with the UAE's national vision, MSS is committed to fostering stronger social bonds and encouraging every member of society, young and old, to step forward and serve.

2025Ethraa Gold CategoryRecognised by the Community Development Authority in the Ethraa Empowerment Program, with full marks for ERP integration and technology.
2025AI First training beginsAI became our number-one training priority for volunteers, youth, women and workers, starting 12 October 2025.
